Young Adults Meeting

If you’re between the ages of 18–30, we’d love for you to join us every week from 7:00–9:00 PM!

Come find a place where meaningful community is built, faith grows, and you don’t have to do life alone. Whether you’re new or have been around for a while, there’s a place for you here.

Sow-tember

Each week in the month of September we want to be purposeful in sowing the Gospel into our community and in those around us. 

The goal isn’t to force a conversation, win an argument, or get someone to make a decision on the spot. We sow in love-fueled faith, trust the Holy Spirit, and look for ways to help people respond to Jesus. 

WEEK 2 — SOW A SCRIPTURE 

Carry God’s Word with you and look for an opportunity to share it. 

God’s Word can speak directly into people’s lives. This week (or daily), carry one Scripture with you and be ready to sow it as the Spirit leads the conversation.

Start with something as simple as choosing one Bible verse or Bible story to meditate on throughout the day. Ask the Holy Spirit: “Give me an open window to share this with someone today.” As you talk with people, listen for a moment when your Scripture connects naturally with something they are experiencing. You could say:“I was reading something today that made me think of what you just said.” Then share the verse.Sow the Word and let God use it. As the Spirit leads, you could follow up with: “What do you think about that?” Ask the Holy Spirit to use His Word to draw people toward Jesus.

WIN: You shared God’s Word with someone who God deeply loves, it may be just the thing they needed today! God’s Word never returns empty!

Kaunas Prayer & Fasting

Join us each Thursday in August and September as we pray and fast for Kaunas and the opportunity to plant an International Church. We will end the time of fasting and prayer with an interest meeting on October 4 for those who are interested in joining the church planting team in Kaunas, so mark your calendars. If you are on a serve team mark your calendar for Team Night, coming up on Sunday, September 27 at 5:30. Bring a dish to share and come ready to work on your serve team pathway. If you want to join a serve team and have not been to a team night, feel free to join to get an insight into what it looks like to serve at Journey Church.

Alpha Course 

The next Alpha Course begins September 23.  Alpha Course is a free, multi-week introductory course that provides an informal, low-pressure space for anyone to explore the basics of the Christian faith and the meaning of life through food, a short talk, and open group discussion. Invite your friends or share it with those you meet throughout your day. Alpha is an amazing tool where Life Change happens. Register here.
